Austen Williams, President and Executive Director 

Austen Williams has been modeling, acting, singing and dancing for 30 years. In addition to working with clients like Ford Motor Cars, Sony, and Vibe Magazine, her work includes multiple films, television shows, and over a dozen fitness videos, including serving as Co-Host for talk show, INsight, which was aired in 18 million homes on the UPLIFT and Parable Networks. 

Beyond her work as an Entertainer and Philanthropist, she has also been a Personal Development Instructor, a Stylist, a Talent Coach, a Manager of a multi-million dollar fitness facility, a Business Owner, and an Inspirational Speaker to over 100,000 people. Austen has worked extensively as a Speaker and Event Coordinator with Eagle University, a youth leadership workshop, served on the Board of Directors for Project Nightlight, an abuse prevention organization, and was Director of the Girls Ministry at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas— in addition to all this, she also completed her Bachelors Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  

Austen won the title of Mrs. America 2014 and has since traveled the US and abroad speaking on her platform, Shake the Shackles: Human Trafficking Awareness, engaging communities on ways to end modern day slavery. As a result of her work in the area of human trafficking, Austen became a recipient of the prestigious Phoenix Award, the highest honor given by the City of Atlanta, as well as being named Humanitarian of the Year 2014 by Viva Internationale Magazine.    

As the Executive Director and President of Project Free Style Austen uses her expertise in the areas of fashion, marketing, activism, and business to see people in our communities wearing Project Free Style garments and talking about how they are fashioned in freedom to fight human trafficking. 

Beyond her work with Project Free Style and The Jubilee Market, Austen is  the owner of Crowning Glory Coaching and Consulting, a personal development company.  


David-Lafe Frugé, Ph. D. Candidate 

David-Lafe Frugé is a Tech Entrepreneur, Reverend, and Author who abandoned the ivory tower and started walking on Christ’s road six years ago when he became aware of the employment obstacles facing so many Americans. He has been fortunate to learn from the best and has won the Fort Worth Startup competition, served as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence, and been the featured Entrepreneur for IT and telecom companies in Dallas/Fort Worth.

David-Lafe is the Founder one of North Texas’s few SaaS startups, Volunteer Hill ( This two-way marketplace funnels virtual volunteer help to businesses and non-profit organizations, so that they can provide more value and jobs to local economies. Most recently, he was able to utilize his tech platform to serve the city of Houston after Hurricanee Irma by shamelessly connecting people who volunteer with people who need help.  Because of his collaborative efforts $1,036,000 in mudding out costs were saved, and $7,400,000 in homes were saved from mold.

David received his Bachelor degree from Union University and his Masters degree from Southwestern Seminary.  He is a PhD candidate at Southwestern.    

Dr. Harriet Watkins 

Dr. Watkins is the Chief Academic Officer at Instructional Connections (IC), a provider of high quality instructional support services to colleges and universities, which offer online courses and degree programs.  As Chief Academic Officer she is the liaison between IC and institutions of higher learning, conducting research ensuring the academic support needs of the institutions are met. 

Formerly, Dr. Watkins was the Director of Online Learning for the newly established University of Arkansas System, eVersity. She was responsible for building the core team of Instructional Designers to develop innovative online courses and programs for the university. At the University of Texas at Arlington she was the Manager of Academic Partnerships. She oversaw the logistics and implementation of distance education programs with contracted vendors at the Center for Distance Education. Additionally, Dr. Watkins also served as the President, International Leadership Council/Member, and member of the Board of Directors for Golden Key International Honour Society.    

She holds a doctorate degree in Distance Education from Regent University.

John Montes 

John 'Jontez' Montes began as a worship leader for Bishop T.D. Jakes, then went on to sing with Kirk Franklin's multi-platinum selling group, God’s Property. It was then that he began opening  for artists like Jaci Velasquez, Amy Grant, and Michael W. Smith. In 2004, Jontez released his first national project on WEA (Warner, Electra, Atlantic) entitled, "and so it is…”, and went on to work with producers and artists like Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Ashlee Simpson, and Frankie J. He also appeared on NBC’s The Sing-Off (Season 4), as part of a cappella group, TEN, who went on to become the season's 1st runner-up.  John was also a Singer on the Marcus & Joni Show on the Daystar Television Network and was recently nominated for a Dove Award for Spanish Album of The Year. 

In his current season John is the founder and CEO of VertiZontal Connect, a networking firm for entertainers, and Events by Montes, a full service entertainment-based event planning company. As a successful performer and entrepreneur, John brings his expertise in networking, fundraising,  social media, and marketing to The Jubilee Market.
